Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the Government Security group in Chantilly, VA.

This position will provide direct industrial security support to Intelligence Community programs at both company and customer locations including exciting opportunities to work in a fast-paced innovative environment. This position will be working with new cutting-edge technology within a multi-faceted statement of work, and support various functions including program security, trainings, personnel security and establishing new spaces within the Chantilly site.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.

  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action.

  • Assists less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls.

  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs.

  • Leads and performs Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements.

  • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information.

  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements.

  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.

  • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) and current SCI eligibility with an active counterintelligence polygraph.

Candidates must have a currently active Top Secret / Top Secret SCI US Security Clearance, or have completed a Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the past 5 years

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ year of experience in Industrial Security

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP) programs.

  • 3+ years of experience working in a classified environment

  • Must have a currently active Top Secret / Top Secret SCI US Security Clearance, or have completed a Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the past 5 years

  • Active Counterintelligence Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience working in any of the following positions: Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO or ACPSO); Program Security Officer (PSO); Program Security Representative (PSR) or Program Security Manager

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically 6 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position may offer a sign-on bonus to qualified candidates

Work shift:

This position will be for 1st shift.

Summary pay range: USD $98,000 - $112,700
