The Boeing Training Systems Hardware Design Engineering Team is looking for a Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer (Level 1) in Hazelwood, Missouri.  The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of support equipment for a variety of military rotorcraft.

You will support the development and documentation of mechanical and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design. Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups. Perform limited detail design development and modification of mechanical installations. Support team in performing spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time operational support and technical expertise in the testing and troubleshooting of a variety of mechanical products.
  • Designs, acquires, coordinates set-up, provides training and produces test procedures needed to successfully overhaul and repairs mechanical components.
  • Prepares technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
  • Solves problems concerning fielded hardware over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • Prepares technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
  • Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Experience in multiple Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and/or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) applications (e.g. Mastercam, CATIA V5, Unigraphics, etc.)
  • Experience in mechanical design

Summary pay range: $65,450 - $88,550
