Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Management Specialist - Lead (Level 4 or Level 5) to join our organization in Huntsville, Alabama.

Be a part of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Contracts team supporting critical National Defense programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government contracting, particularly with the Department of Defense (DOD) and other government agencies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Exercises appropriate signature authority, oversees, and participates with a strategic perspective in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies

  • Oversees the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business

  • Represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers

  • Oversees and performs on teams participating in the preparation, negotiation, execution, interpretation and administration of legally binding contractual agreements of a highly complex nature for The Boeing Company

  • Ensures strategic alignment and partnership with other internal functional disciplines

  • Summarizes highly complex contractual issues, oversees and consults on the development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 8+ years of experience in government contracting/contract management

  • Experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships

  • Experience working with acquisition policies, e.g., United States Government (USG) Federal Acquisition Regulations/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (FAR/DFARS) regulations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities

  • Experience planning and supporting the development of individuals' skills and abilities so that they can fulfill current or future job/role responsibilities more effectively

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 4

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 5

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (Level 4): $100,300 - $135,700

Summary pay range (Level 5): $121,550 - $164,450


Export Control Requirements: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
