The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Lead Contract Management Specialist to join the Contracts team in either Ogden, UT, Hill AFB, UT or Layton, UT.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) team as a Contract Management Specialist Lead supporting the Strategic Missile and Defense Systems (SMDS): Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) portfolio. Boeing's SMDS organization helps protect and deter attacks to our nation, warfighters, and allies worldwide. Some of the key programs within SMDS include: the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system – the land-based leg of the U.S. nuclear triad, Boeing supports the Air Force and its efforts to modernize the nation’s ICBM force, and Boeing operates and maintains of the Little Mountain Test Facility for the Air Force at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, which conducts key testing including radiation effects, electromagnetic effects, shock and vibration, and other environmental testing.

About the role:

The Contract Management Specialist Lead within SMDS exercises appropriate signature authority, leads, and participates in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of SMDS products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies. Leads the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business. Represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers. Authority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company. Leads coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines. Summarizes complex contractual issues, and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Submits offers and contractually commits the company within the extend of delegated authority

  • Reviews Statements of Work, terms and conditions, cost estimates and the determination of profit or earnings objectives

  • Supports to emerging programs/campaigns and proposals

  • Reviews and approves agreements with outside parties

  • Performs and approves contractual risk assessments to balance risk and opportunities

  • Coaches and mentors employees

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships

  • 5+ years of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This position will be for first shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $100,300 - $135,700
