The Boeing Enterprise Services organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Supplier Program Management (Level M) to join their Operational Excellence & Transformation team. This position is available at our major Boeing sites in the U.S.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to support our transformation journey. This person should be curious, able to lead large-scale, critical projects/initiatives related to mergers & acquisitions,business process, policy and procedure, and organizational strategy.  Experience with Source-to-Pay and Acquire-to-Retire processes is ideal.

You will also perform as a Lean leader within our Operational Excellence team and the wider Enterprise Services function, leading Lean activities and workshops around concepts, tools, and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process mapping, the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) and Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW).

Enterprise Services is a team of over 2,500 employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing’s products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers – creating impact and value across the Enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Leadership:

  • Working extensively with the Enterprise Services VP, you will have clear understanding of M&A activities and ensure timely completion of key activities linked to integrations and divestitures

  • Represent Enterprise Service in key forums

Process & Procedures:

  • Lead Lean activities to include Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process mapping, Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM), and Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW) to review ES process and procedures for efficiency, allowing us to change the way we operate, to be simpler, faster and continuously improving

  • Own, lead and support a portfolio of programs/initiatives concurrently and meet critical deadlines

Program Management:

  • Execute full lifecycle agile project management on multiple complex, high priority initiatives from concept scope/definition, as well assuming those in work

  • At a program/initiative level, understand and be able to clearly articulate current state, objectives, success criteria and milestone commitments, as well as risks, issues and resolution actions

  • Manage to project and program plans inclusive of: schedules, reports, monitoring metrics, change activity, communicating and updating plans regularly

  • Development and on-going monitoring of detailed delivery plans against agreed commitments

  • Define and proactively manage risks, escalating where appropriate

  • Define relevant KPI’s to assess program performance and business impact

  • Develop project and program plans at all levels across functional areas to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality, and constraints from initiation to post completion

  • Manage change management process and apply industry best standards

Facilitation:

  • Facilitate Lean continuous improvement workshops to enhance organizational efficiency and productivity through deeper application of Lean principles and methodologies

Building Relationships:

  • Engage all levels of stakeholders (including VP) to proactively understand and confirm necessary requirements of project/program deliverables

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize performance

  • Engage stakeholders proactively to understand & confirm requirements that will inform project / program deliverables

  • Develop relationships with key suppliers, vendors, functional stakeholders and program sponsors; deliver insightful, high-quality outcomes

Business Story Telling:

  • Create high quality presentations that tell business stories; provide progress updates, and create/lead detailed business cases for new programs/projects

  • Collect and interpret data, evaluate, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions, and communicate effectively

Key Relationships & Stakeholders include:

  • Enterprise Services Executive Leadership Team

  • Boeing Corporate Planning Team

  • Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) Leadership Team

  • Enterprise Supply Chain Operations Council

  • Multiple functional partners: IT, Data and Business Intelligence, Finance, HR

  • External suppliers, consultants & vendors – up to senior executive level leadership

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Tomeet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with program management and supply chain best practices

  • Experience leading large scale, cross functional projects or programs inclusive of managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, risk, costs, communication, coordination, execution, and control

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience using industry standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset; self-starter, strong bias for action

  • Prior experience in consulting or project management in a large, complex industrial company

  • Experience taking problems, creating project solutions, and executing to deliver value for customers

  • Experience effectively mentoring, coaching, leading and guiding teams/employees

  • Experience leading & facilitating lean workshops and activities

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $158,000 - $246,000
