Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Lead or Senior Flight Training Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Seattle, WA.

We are looking for candidates with a deep understanding of Boeing flight deck procedures and a passion for aviation safety. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the following areas:

  • Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA)
  • Commercial line operations and flight planning
  • Flight instruction using simulators, e-learning, training manuals, and related technologies
  • Flight training regulations from the US FAA, EU EASA, UK CAA, Brazil ANAC, India DGCA, China CAAC, etc.
  • Project management approaches such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, etc.
  • Content development and collaboration tools such as DITA, Storyline, Confluence, Teams, Azure DevOps, or related technologies

You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, Boeing design standards, and industry safety protocols. This position requires relevant education from an accredited institution and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification, or equivalent experience. Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee identifying customer technical training needs and requirements.
  • Lead the development of complex training proposals.
  • Oversee the evaluation and determination of training objectives, content, design, and technologies.
  • Use specialized software technology to research, develop, and modify new and existing media and materials.
  • Prepare lesson plans and instructs participants.
  • Develop training concepts, techniques, and processes.
  • Research, develop, deliver, and evaluate effectiveness of advanced or new technical training.
  • Apply advanced concepts to develop training standards and specifications.​

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors’ degree or higher.
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Lead: $102,850 - $139,150

Summary pay range Senior: $127,500 - $173,500


Export Control Requirements: If the successful candidate is not a “U.S. Person“ (as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 “U.S. Person” includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) and the position requires access to export-controlled data, an appropriate export authorization by the U.S. Government may be required prior to such access. Employment, and the continuity of employment of non-U.S. persons, is contingent upon the company’s ability to secure and maintain the necessary export control authorization.
