We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Materials Management and Transportation for BDI and BDSI in Australia - New Zealand who will take the reins on driving the performance of the region with the support of a national team. This role will be based in Tullamarine and will oversee sites across Australia and New Zealand with travelling involved.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced leader to join this team to continue to deliver results for our customers and employees. This role plays a major role in the day to day running of BSI operations providing a supportive safety culture, operational excellence, people management and fostering collaboration across customers, sales and operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Managing a multi-site team nationally
  • Setting and monitoring of performance standards and behavioral standards to build a high-performance team
  • People management including, recruitment, performance management, coaching
  • Providing safety support across all sites within the region, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Working on short/mid and long term strategies to achieve Enterprise business goals
  • Facilities Management for 4 locations


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field of study
  • Minimum 10 years proven experience in a leadership role managing multiple sites
  • Dangerous goods management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with task assignment, problem solving and performance management
  • Able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and influence employees to make sound safe choices
  • An ability to demonstrate your effectiveness at engaging team members, establishing and sustaining relationships & setting of clear direction
  • You will be highly organized and be able to prioritize conflicting tasks ensuring the best outcomes for the business
  • You work cross-functionally and globally with other teams
  • Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
