Boeing's Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is seeking a Senior Facilities Maintenance Manager (Level L) to join our team located in Auburn or Puyallup/Frederickson, Washington.

This role involves three (3) days per week in Auburn, WA & two (2) days per week in Frederickson/Puyallup, WA. You will be managing across both 1st and 2nd shifts, so flexibility is needed to provide support on both shifts based on business requirements.

This position leads a diverse team within facilities and maintenance, contracted services, and/or regional services activities. This includes managing first level managers and responsibility for teams of employees with a variety of specialized craft skills to include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and crane equipment. Broad facilities related experience and professional communication skills are ideal for this position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employee and first-level management activities within the facilities occupation

  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes; participates in equipment make/buy decisions

  • Participates in source selection; provides technical oversight and integrates supplier activities

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

  • Learns and then leads Boeing problem solving (BPS) and lean efforts 

  • Learns and then leads with a Seek, Speak & Listen (SS&L) mindset

  • Possesses a safety and quality mindset in daily work & instills in others

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams and direct reports

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data and metrics to identify future organization needs

  • 3+ years of experience developing and executing strategies to meet organization objectives

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing in a union environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Mechanical, electrical, and/or facilities background

  • 5+ years of experience in a facilities, maintenance or engineering role in a manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years of experience teaching, mentoring, and coaching others

  • 5+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers, and all levels of leadership

  • Experience with proactive communication, up & out/down & in

  • Possess a safety and quality mindset in daily work

  • Self-starter; ability to demonstrate competencies in conflict and crisis management, collaboration, process improvement and people development

Shift:

This position is 1st shift. Flexible shift support across shifts will be required based on business needs.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $143,650 - $194,000
