Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Facilities Project Management Specialist to join our team in Chantilly or Springfield, VA.

The Senior Project Management Specialist you will oversee complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope. Responsible for leading project teams, developing detailed plans, managing resources, and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle; often requiring extensive experience in project management methodologies and strong leadership skills to navigate intricate projects and collaborate across multiple teams. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk assessments
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving conflicts
  • Monitor project budget, identify cost variances, and implement corrective actions
  • Effectively communicate project status updates to key stakeholders, including customers, senior leadership, and team members
  • Proactively identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and manage issues that arise during the project
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project requirements
  • Generate regular project reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze project data to identify areas for improvement
  • Evaluate requests & meet with customer to define requirements for projects.
  • Develops work packages (to include budget/funding source, schedule, drawings, specifications, statement of work, procurement, estimates)
  • Evaluate contractor proposals and administer contractor activities
  • Complete closeout of projects and document lessons learned
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and delegate tasks effectively 
  • Lead or participate in enterprise initiatives, creation of standards, mentoring, training, and non-advocate reviews
  • Data analysis and interpretation to inform decision-making 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph
  • PMP Certification
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or construction management
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and applying standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts, MS PowerPoint, status charts, resource load charts)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent military experience (architecture, project management, construction management, engineering/technical related fields preferred)
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Project leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment supporting facilities and/or building infrastructure 
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Procore, ConDoc, SAP
  • Experience monitoring & coordinating implementation activities such as relocations, construction, utility budget management, schedule, and project reviews

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $141,950 - $192,050
