Boeing Distribution Inc. (BDI) is looking for a First Level Operations Manager for the Chemical Material Center (CMC) (Level K) in our Coppell, TX location. This is a 2nd shift management position. This professional multi-tasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring safety and quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Coppell, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including safety compliance, quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service

  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency

  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed

  • Review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention

  • Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.§120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial or team lead role

  • Must be willing to work 2nd shift as required by this position

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required

  • Experience working in a computer based inventory management system or warehouse management system is desirable

  • Good understanding of warehouse operations

  • Previous experience reviewing employee performance and team accountability is highly desirable

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong people skills

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.

  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail

  • Experience with Hazmat materials would be a plus

Relocation

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This is a 2nd shift position, typically working until 10 pm.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: 118,150 - 159,850
