The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and experienced NDI Level II Technician to support the P-8A Poseidon Program based at RAAF Edinburgh in South Australia. The position will be integral to the existing Edinburgh MRO support team with a focus on P-8A depot maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the Edinburgh MRO services team
  • Deliver quality products to our customers on a first-time quality basis
  • Conducting NDT processes including Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), Magnetic Particle testing (MPT), Eddy Current testing (ECT) and Ultrasonic testing (UT) and radiography (RT)
  • Work within a dynamic team and be able to respond effectively to changing requirements.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Aviation NDT Level 2 qualifications per NAS410 or EN4179 in LPT, MPT, ECT and UT and RT
  • Supporting Cert IV AeroSkills (or equivalent)
  • Boeing 737-800 Series aircraft experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with ADF products and processes is highly desirable
  • Confined Space Entry (CSE) qualification is highly desirable
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to meet Defence security requirements.

Security Clearance

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (NV1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.
