The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Computing Data Architect to join the team in either Everett, WA or North Charleston, SC

We are looking for an experienced Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Computing Data Architect to lead the design, development, and management of data architecture that underpins our Digital Transformation initiatives. The perfect candidate will possess a robust background in data modeling and integration, emphasizing data quality, security, and compliance. This Computing Data Architect will work closely with diverse teams within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes business and Information Technology and Data Analytics (IT&DA) to align with business goals and promote data-driven decision-making.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain data models of BCA manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, conceptual & logical, in partnership with business and systems architects

  • Collaborate with systems architects and engineering to design data integrations ensuring data accuracy & completeness

  • Work closely with stakeholders and other architects to adequately understand requirements for collecting, storing, and sharing data across BCA architecture

  • Analyze and optimize data interoperability to enhance system performance

  • Work closely with product managers and business functions to address any defects or gaps resulting in poor data quality and system performance

  • Assess and recommend data management technologies, tools, and platforms that meet organizational needs

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to data architecture, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and architecture diagrams

  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations

  • Identify and resolve data-related issues, including data quality problems and performance bottlenecks

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering related field (e.g. Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Process Engineering)

  • Experience with modeling languages (e.g., SysML, OWL/RDF) and frameworks (e.g., UAF) data representation standards (e.g. ISO 10303-X) that enable interoperability and semantic data linkage

  • Experience defining multiple components of the system/application and information/data architectures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with one or more industry engineering platforms like 3DX, Team Center, SAP

  • Experience with industry standards (e.g, STEP, QIF)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $122,400 – $177,100

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 5): $142,800 – $207,000
