Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a F/A-18 Avionics Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the F18 Kuwait program performing intermediate level avionics support. The role will focus on providing Technical Support to our Intermediate Level F/A-18 Avionics testing at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait.

This is a Long-Term Assignment to Kuwait. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Ability to meet international assignment health requirements required. If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.

You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.

Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.

Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical knowledge and programmatic assistance to customers to achieve and sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of the F/A-18 Avionics Test Stations.
  • Investigate product problems, determining causes, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide on-the-job-training (OJT) in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate reports, corrective action summaries, and other communications as required.
  • Participation in technical assessments and the application of technical expertise in the resolution of design and procedural problems.
  • Technical support and on-site company representation for Intermediate Level F/A-18 Avionics testing at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait.
  • This person chosen for this position will be the lead for all Boeing F/A-18 Field Service activities in Kuwait.
  • Perform systems test, integration, and fault analysis.
  • Act as spokesperson representing the company on technical, contractual, or business issues.
  • Act as advisor to upper management and customers on programmatic and technical issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with F/A-18 Automated Test Equipment (F/A-18 ATE), Intermediate level avionics testing, and association with military ATE operation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs. Failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation. 
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work.  Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience with F/A-18 Automated Test Equipment (F/A-18 ATE), Intermediate level avionics testing, and association with military ATE operation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Experience with legacy F/A-18 I-level equipment such as IATS, EOTS and HTS test stations is desired

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country
  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable
  • Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country
  • Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $96,900 - $131,100.
