At Insitu we strive to promote a fun and flexible work environment for our employees. To accomplish this, much of our company operates on a 9/80 schedule, meaning work hours are distributed to allow most of our employees to have every other Friday off. We have an immediate need for a Configuration Management Analyst. The role is hybrid onsite / remote role with the expectation to be onsite as needed (most likely once a quarter).

This role will be responsible for:

  • Verifying document and product documentation cross-references and completeness.
  • Compiling and coordinating release packages.
  • Coordination of document and parts identification number requests and number assignment.
  • Reviewing change requests for accuracy and completeness
  • Establishing change orders and preparing change authorization.
  • Coordination of modification records for management control and monitoring of change requests.
  • Compiling status accounting reports and participation in configuration review boards.
  • Verification of work product release authorizations. 
  • Reviewing product definitions for standards compliance, documentation of findings and coordination of corrective action.  
  • Monitoring change and release implementation and with escalation of identified risks.
  • Monitoring implementation of configuration management plans.
  • Coordination of configuration standards based on plan requirements.

Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
  • Prior experience in Document Management, Large Dataset Control and/or other related Fabrication experience required.
  • Configuration Management experience is a strong plus, will train for the right candidate.

Competencies

  • Knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., "used on" drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).
  • Knowledge of company document management guidelines (i.e., desktop procedures) to ensure that documents (e.g., Policies, Procedures, approval sheets, revision letters, history logs) are maintained under configuration control.
  • Understanding of the technical considerations applicable to the integration of the products hardware, software and human elements, and the knowledge and application of the Configuration and Data Management Processes and tools throughout the total product life-cycle.
  • Knowledge of specification format requirements, guidelines, and change control processes.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure architecture for storage and retrieval of documents, naming conventions, archive processes, and business processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, IF statements) experience.
  • Microsoft Word (formatting) experience.
