This position is part of the EO/IR Mission Systems team within BR&T. The focus of this team is to provide next-generation capabilities to Boeing and its customers through the development of cutting-edge sensor systems, and the key technologies that enable those systems. Systems range from airborne EO/IR systems to space payloads. The team is focused on providing complete solutions, including systems engineering, optics design, algorithms, software development, firmware development, and electronics. As part of BR&T, the primary focus is on prototype systems and demonstrations, so we’re looking for people who like to try new things and aren’t afraid of a challenge!

We are seeking an Associate or Mid-Level Process Engineer to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA to join a team executing programs from conceptual design through prototype and Class C mission payload deliveries. Candidates should have experience with teams supporting customer funded R&D programs, experience with the development of EO/IR sensing systems, and experience in production factory environments.

Position Responsibilities:            

  • Parts Control management of R&D programs with the EO/IR Mission Systems portfolio

  • Creation of program plans and identification of needs

  • Support proposals and coordinating with capture team lead to put together winning proposal products

  • Brief senior management on program status

  • Support PR placement per released engineering demand

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):  

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years of experience in program management of technical programs for aerospace or other engineering business areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience on EO/IR Sensor or other mission payload programs

  • Experience on development programs

Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for associate: $78,200 - $105,800

Summary pay range for mid-level: $94,350 - $127,650
