The Boeing Company is seeking Contract Management Specialists in Huntsville, Alabama to support the Space Launch System (SLS) program. In this role, you will partner with NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center to drive innovation in aerospace technology.

  • Associate (Level 2)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with leaders and customers to address contract-related issues and provide support

  • Draft and negotiate agreements to protect Boeing's intellectual property and ensure legal compliance

  • Coordinate contract terms with NASA customer and help ensure timely payments

  • Help develop contract and pricing strategies while ensuring compliance with company policies

  • Lead proposal efforts to respond to customer request for proposals

  • Draft and finalize letters to address Program matters

  • Commit to agreements on behalf of the company within defined guidelines and work collaboratively with internal teams

  • Collaborate with NASA, industry partners, and defense agencies to find creative solutions to challenges

  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on contracts and agreements

  • Serve as point of contact for audits and represent the company on important matters

These positions are hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

These positions must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts in programs with multiple customers and multiple contract types, such as: general terms agreements, assignment agreements, nondisclosure agreements, purchase, and sale agreements

  • 1+ years of experience leading or managing proposal development and negotiating government contracts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Mid-Level: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent

  • Senior: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent

  • Proven experience in negotiating commercial contracts and engaging in direct sales with international governments

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment in setting objectives and determining approaches to assignments

  • Skilled in advising management at all levels on contractual rights and obligations, risk management strategies, and effective problem-solving techniques

Typical Education & Experience

Level 2:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).

Level 3:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

The positions will be for first shift.

NASA Access:

These positions requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.  Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Associate Summary pay range: $67,150- $ 90,850

Mid-Level Summary pay range: $78,200 - $112,700

Senior Summary pay range: $100,300- $135,700
