Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer on the Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Electrical Engineering Capability team is responsible for design and sustainment and upgrades of next generation electronics concepts, as well as supporting production and special test equipment design for increasing capacity requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform integration of designs with other hardware and software components and systems.
  • Lead test system requirements and verification.
  • Perform circuit board designs for engineering and operational systems.
  • Review testing and analysis activities to assure compliance to requirements.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and events.
  • Perform Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and resolutions.

To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating hardware and software components into a functional system.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Experience in the development of test system requirements and verification methodologies.
  • Experience designing circuit board level test equipment for engineering and lab use.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering with 10+ years related experience.
  • Troubleshooting and providing resolutions for circuit card anomalies and nonconformances.
  • Circuit analysis experience (tools such as LTSpice, ICAP)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Siemens EDM Design Suite (formerly Mentor Graphics).
  • CCA / PCB design experience.

Typical Education & Experience:

Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range:

Lead (level 4): 118,150 – 159,850

Lead (level 5): 145,350 – 196,650
