Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Materials Management & Transportation Manager to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Shapes a positive and safe culture across Materials Management, Production Control, and Transportation operations for Boeing in Alabama
  • Develops leaders and individual contributors through coaching, education, assignments, empowerment, and knowledge transfer
  • Conveys clear expectations and creates a constructive balance of recognition, accountability, and consistency
  • Sets organizational vision and champions transformation activities that elevate operational stability
  • Drives process improvement focused on efficiency/affordability, inventory management, and warehouse integration
  • Leads/promotes systematic problem solving and critical decision making
  • Collaborates with peers across The Boeing Company to benchmark, develop, and share best practices
  • Prioritizes resources to achieve business imperatives across a diverse product portfolio
  • Grows relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 10 years of experience performing in a leadership role, including establishing business and/or functional process policies/strategies, objectives, and management/ownership of associated risks
  • More than 5 years of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • More than 10 years of experience with Materials Management and/or Supply Chain business systems
  • Master’s degree or higher

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $150,450 - $203,550
