Introduction:

Boeing Global Services’ (BGS) International Government and Defense (IG&D) organization is seeking a CH-47 PBL Operations Leader (individual contributor) based Icheon, South Korea. This position is to be the customer facing operations lead for the Korea Chinook Performance Based Logistics (PBL), Blanket Order Agreement ( BOA), and future production contract(s). In this role, the individual will manage the daily needs of the warehouse, customer needs and contract deliverables. This leader will join a team of on-site Boeing personnel as well as have continuous communication with the program located in the United States. The Korea Chinook program has a bright future with additional aircraft delivering in the coming years. This leader must be able to think strategically, maintain detailed records, balance competing priorities all while keeping a customer focused attitude.

This position will be hired initially on a 2-years fixed term contract with the opportunity to convert to an open-ended contract, subject to individual performance.

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Acts as a liaison between Boeing In Country personnel and Boeing US teams.
  • Leads specific scope of existing programs such as Blanket Ordering Agreements as the single point focal.
  • Managing engagement plan and engaging with key stakeholders to provide insight into Korea campaigns, contracts and initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, and partners.
  • Supports the Industrial Participation (Offset) team as required.
  • Establishes and uses Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) to manage budgets, maintain schedule, identify and mitigate risks and issues, build efficiencies for scale into program plans, and develop program goals.
  • Develops, recognizes, and motivates team members.
  • Travel in accordance with business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management skills, tools and process with the Korean government and / or industry.
  • Highly motivated self starter.
  • Korean citizenship is required.
  • Fluent in Korean with strong English speaking ability.
  • Ability to perform as sole translator for Boeing / customer meetings.
  • Experience leading cross functional projects and interfacing with customers and peers, cultivating outcome-oriented business relationships.
  • Experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Experience creating presentations/briefings for Senior Leadership.
  • Effective communication & presentation skills, sharp business acumen, and the ability to work independently
