Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Associate and Experienced Electrical Design and Analysis Engineers to join us as part of our Space Electronics team located in El Segundo CA.

Boeing's Space and Launch Division manages the company's major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense and other missions.

As part of Boeing's Space Electronics division, you will perform the analysis, basic assembly, and testing of electronics for satellites.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design and development of state-of-the art Digital Bus and Power Electronics for space-based applications.
  • Circuit design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification.
  • Technical support for production and test of space-qualified electronics.
  • Work supporting satellite communications systems.
  • Supports a production testing environment on various shifts.
  • Maintains detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products.
  • Develops detailed designs of limited scope.
  • Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design.
  • Gathers data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis.
  • Provides basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs.
  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires a Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) Post-Start, or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Two (2) or more years of experience testing digital, analog and/or power electronics
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in the development of test system requirements and verification methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with analog circuitry.
  • Experience with Digital Bus and Power Electronics Hardware for space applications.
  • Experience with leading space application hardware from initial to final acceptance testing.
  • Experience with circuit design for Space Applications.
  • Experience with testing digital, analog and/or power electronics
  • Experience in the development of test system requirements and verification methodologies

Typical Education/Experience

Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position is for 1st shift.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range - Associate: $85,000 - $116,150

Summary pay range – Mid-Career : $104,550 - $141,450
