Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking Hardware Subsystems Engineers (Entry or Associate levels) to work in the El Segundo, CA, location. Boeing's Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems oversees the company's major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense, and other missions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements and analyses.
  • Develops or modifies basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements.
  • Performs system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.
  • Assists in monitoring suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.
  • Researches basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the El Segundo, CA, location.

This worksite participates in Boeing’s optional 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance post start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • Experience in RF/Digital electronics (design and test) engineering
  • Experience with digital circuit design.
  • Knowledge of FPGAs/ASICs
  • Active security clearance

Typical Education & Experience:

Entry: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Entry level summary pay range: $ 70,550 – $ 95,450

Associate level summary pay range: $ 85,850 – $ 116,150
