The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is currently seeking an experienced Production Operations Specialist located in El Segundo, CA. A successful candidate will be able to lead teams of highly skilled technicians through daily tasks involving spacecraft integration. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels: Associate, Mid- Level, or Senior Production Operations Specialist.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements manufacturing processes.
  • Provides concurrent engineering support.
  • Defines production activities and resolves problems of limited scope.
  • Reviews and approves technical documents.
  • Analyzes charging trends and develops projected manpower forecast.
  • Assists with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation.
  • Leads projects and participates in technical research on proposed projects.
  • Serves as primary interface with internal customers.
  • Translates data into actionable plan for implementation within the organization.
  • Compiles and provides management status reports for corrective/preventative action.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 2nd shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
  • Experience interpreting and working from blueprints, sketches, and written and verbal instructions, in English.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to lift 35lbs.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in fall protection, confined space, hazardous energy, crane safety, and incident investigations
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESCI)
  • Experience working in teams/work groups.
  • Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.)

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A Final U.S. secret clearance Prestart or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range:

Level 2: $ 66,300 - $ 89,700

Level 3: $ 85,000 - $ 115,000

Level 4: $ 100,300 - $ 135,700

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
