The Boeing Company is looking for a System and Network Administrator Engineer to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you’ll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.

The System and Network Administrator Functions supports a 24/7 hour Test operation. This position is 4th shift meaning, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, Deploying Test Software & Configurations, Troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity

  • Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements

  • Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work

  • Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements

  • Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, or equivalent experience

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching - Cisco Certification

  • Experience in certifying PTEX (Payload Test Executive) and MTEX (Modular Test Executive) Test Servers

  • Experience in certifying Automated Test Controller (ATC) Server and Client

  • Experience in Operating Systems: RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Cisco IOS

  • 6+ years of experience with Private, Corporate, Charter and/or Military Operations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Satellite Test and STE Operations Readiness

  • Experience in Cyber Security

  • Experience in Redhat and Oracle Linux servers, Windows XP – Windows 10 OS and network-based storage system

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range (Level 4): $121,550 – $164,450
