Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced or Senior Electrician to support our business in McClellan, CA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.

This position will perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as maintenance or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electrical energy in an office/industrial facility environment. In general, the Electrician requires well rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Electricians will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to quickly and effectively address facilities and electrical needs for a U.S. Government.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, tests and repairs critical/non-critical electrical equipment and systems
  • Work involves most of the following: maintaining or repairing a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, ups units, motors or other transmission equipment
  • Uses test equipment such as multi-meters, ammeters, megohm meters and other test equipment
  • Follows diagrams, blueprints, construction drawings, schematics and switching procedures
  • Maintains, installs and repairs 120/208 volt and 277/ 480-volt electrical power distribution systems including electrical main gear, transformers, feeders, panels, branch circuits, motors, lighting and troubleshooting systems
  • General knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures
  • Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Interprets basic schematics and diagrams
  • Under general guidance, reviews customer requirements and evaluates product capabilities
  • May receive specialized equipment training
  • May provide guidance and training to peers and/or customers on the general use of equipment

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).

Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years electrical experience
  • Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35lbs
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Capable of working flexible hours to include overtime and weekends, when necessary

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years electrical experience
  • California C-10 Electrician License 

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Senior:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+5 years' related work, Bachelor+2 years' related work, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range experienced: $61,200 - $82,800

Summary pay range senior: $73,100 - $98,900
