The Boeing Company is hiring an Earned Value Management (EVM) Compliance Lead to join the EVM Financial Analysis team in Hazelwood, MO or Mesa, AZ.  This is an exciting opportunity to lead the EVM compliance team on programs within the BDS portfolio.

As the Compliance Focal, you will be responsible for leading finance initiatives across business/Center of Excellence (COE) engagements.

The Earned Value Management (EVM) Compliance Focal will play a critical role in:

  • Leading, reviewing, and analyzing cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses
  • Ensuring that Earned Value Management System (EVMS) is being utilized on all Defense Federal Acquisition Regulated programs
  • Maintaining compliance with industry best-practices, company standards, contractual requirements and Boeing’s system description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, review and analyze cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates Earned Value Management (EVM) trends
  • Support Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Site Surveillance plan, DCMA Audits and Corrective Action Report (CAR) closure
  • Initiate analysis of: DCMA Earned Value Compliance Metrics (DECM), or similar tools, to help evaluate compliance to the EIA-748 (32) guidelines in addition to contractual deliveries (CDRLs)
  • Develop business cases using appropriate indices and identifies compliance risks and issues and raising them to management
  • Compile data from multiple sources and develop compliance metrics
  • Identify knowledge gaps in team and implements training to address
  • Review analysts’ work, complete peer reviews and ensure quality hand off
  • Lead finance team root cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • Train team members in Systems and Tools (including MS Office Tools)
  • Identify enhancements that would drive improvements or simplification of tools/processes

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
  • Experience and/or training on FAR and DFARS compliance
  • 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) applying Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) requirements
  • Understanding of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) (Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR), Contract Performance Report (CPR), Contract Funds Status Report (CFSR), EIA-748 (32) guidelines, etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data in Senior Leadership briefings
  • Experience compiling data from multiple sources and develops compliance metrics, supporting Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Site Surveillance plan, DCMA Audits and Corrective Action Report (CAR) closure
  • Experience communicating risks, opportunities and issues to management, substantiated with data and analytics that drive business insights
  • Experience communicating the imperative for change to ensure stakeholder alignment
  • Experience presenting and summarizing complex findings using compelling visual aids and relatable terminology
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:  $119,000 - $161,000
