Boeing's Indirect Supply Chain organization is seeking a Senior IT Supplier Relationship and Category Management Specialist (Level 4 or 5) within our Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) team. This position is available in Mesa, AZ, Everett, WA, Hazelwood, MO, Englewood, CO, or North Charleston, SC.

In this role, you will have responsibility related to premier IT providers to:

  • Develop integrated supplier and category strategies with key business partners

  • Lead strategic and tactical relationship activities

  • Understand and handle supplier performance through executive and team member engagement

  • Drive yearly value collection for the IT commodity will be providing valuable insights for developing business improvement ideas and sourcing strategies by analyzing and understanding data

You will integrate tightly with our finance teams to optimize the total cost of ownership across the IT&DA portfolio. You will support procurement agents through contract life-cycle management, planning, and analytics, including collecting benchmarking and industry data for outside perspectives.

Indirect Supply Chain IT&DA is a multi-dimensional organization where you will work with peers, colleagues, and executives in other functions on exciting sourcing and contract management initiatives. Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops detailed Supplier & category plans and drives strategy near and long term within the category

  • Has detailed knowledge of key suppliers, categories, and industry

  • Establishes relationships across the enterprise and within supply base

  • Leads cross functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans for key high value projects

  • Advises business unit functions developing solutions for operational and business challenges including quality/delivery, long term agreement and negotiations

  • Partners with enterprise stakeholders including business units and functions to drive supplier and category vision into key activities such as long-term agreements, make-buy-transfer decisions and corporate initiatives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contracts

  • 5+ years of experience in supplier management, supply chain, or contracts

  • 5+ years of experience in category management or strategic sourcing

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience developing and presenting executive level summaries using PowerPoint

  • Experience in project management

  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset

  • Experience teaching, coaching and developing others

  • Experience developing and implementing supplier related business strategies

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

(Senior Level 4) Summary Pay Range: $106,250 – $154,000

(Senior Level 5) Summary Pay Range: $124,100 – $179,000
