The Boeing Company is seeking a dynamic and innovative Principal Product Management Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, SC, Berkeley, MO or Seattle, WA. This role will lead the development and execution of our product strategy and roadmap for talent management solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with various stakeholders to define product objectives, manage the product lifecycle, and leverage data analytics to enhance business outcomes. This position requires a strong focus on driving innovation, fostering cross-functional teamwork, and engaging with employees and stakeholders to ensure our products meet their needs effectively.

The Product Management Specialist will work within the Global Talent Management Center of Excellence (COE), driving a product roadmap across the employee lifecycle including workforce planning, selection processes, performance management, talent management, and career development and movement.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the product strategy and roadmap for talent management solutions

  • Collaborate across the COE and other stakeholders to define product objectives, ensure alignment with talent management priorities, and drive strategic outcomes with products that are designed for our employees and their needs

  • Lead end-to-end product development process, from ideation through launch and beyond

  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business needs, customer feedback, and performance metrics

  • Track progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of product milestones

  • Integrate data analytics into talent management products to provide actionable insights on talent development, performance trends, and strategy planning

  • Leverage data to continuously refine product features and improve overall business outcomes

  • Identify and explore new product opportunities and innovative solutions that align with business goals

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement to keep products competitive and relevant

  • Guide and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and efficient user-centered thinking and product development

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members to achieve common goals

  • Work across other expert groups within the COE and beyond to create a seamless employee experience

  • Engage with Employees, Managers, HR Team Members, and Stakeholders

  • Spend time shadowing employees, managers, HR Team members and other talent management users

  • Gather and analyze feedback to understand user needs and pain points, and incorporate this input into product development and improvement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making

  • 3+ years of experience in product management or related field with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in a complex corporate environment

  • 3+ years of experience working in an Agile product development environment

  • Experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines working across a geographically dispersed team and time zones

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field

  • Certification in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing)

  • Experience in talent management or HR technology solutions

  • Experience in product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Confluence, Wrike

  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Experience with candidate attraction and engagement strategies

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $107,950 - $156,400
