The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate & Mid-Level Test Modification and Repair (TMR) Device Technician with experience to be a focal between management, engineering, and other technicians to support Boeing Global Services in Oklahoma City, OK. The candidate will join a diverse team of design and manufacturing engineers, and hardware technicians to develop training devices for multiple platforms between the E-7 AEWC, E-3 AWACS, B-52, and KC-46 for many customers globally.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades, and assists in the modification of mission computing and training components, devices, hardware and software.
  • Coordinates and consults with vendors and/or customers to determine the level of maintenance or repair to be performed on training device and/or components.
  • Performs detailed inspections for pre-operations, post-operations, and component handling.
  • Inspects components and or LRU’s to verify status prior to installation.
  • Consults with engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Works under minimal supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience on troubleshooting mission computing equipment or training simulators
  • Experience in a role that required the understanding of schematics, diagrams, tech data and drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience on troubleshooting mission computing equipment or training simulators (Mid-Level Level 3)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Air Force/Navy Computer Maintenance Technician, Electrical Or Computer Technician, or equivalent
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • IT networking
  • Software Analysis
  • DOD regulations related to hardware devices
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints and verify related red line drawings

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $47,600- $64,400

Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $57,800- $78,200

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
