Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an ExperiencedAircraft Machinist (Level C) to support the Fabrication Program in Orangeburg, South Carolina on Variable Shift!

In this exciting role, an experienced aircraft machinist will fabricate emergent productions parts as required using manual and CNC machines; develop and revise Machine Control Data (MCD) and perform other duties in support of our Fabrication Program at BSC. Position Responsibilities:   

  • Follows general instructions, reads and interprets complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts as required using manual and CNC machines.

  • Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry.

  • Assists the team in resolving issues and completing job responsibilities.

  • Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job. 

  • Exhibits Boeing Behaviors.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Orangeburg, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Willing and able to work any shift assigned.

  • 3+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting machine code data (MCD).

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, electrical schematics, and reading and interpreting blueprints or drawings.

  • 3+ years of work experience in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.

  • 3+ years of experience using manual mill and lathe machines.

  • 3+ years of experience setting up and fixtures, operating, and programming CNC machines, i.e. with 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.

  • 3+ years of experience setting up NC/CNC machines, including probing and using dial indicators to establish set points.

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $62,310-$64,320.
