The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Material or Labor) in Saint Charles, MO.

This position offers the opportunity to enhance a candidate’s knowledge of the acquire process, as well as the overall execution of the business. Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) in Saint Charles has a broad portfolio of programs and customers, both domestic and international. As a member of the Weapons Estimating team the successful candidate may have the opportunity to support to both Direct Attack and Cruise Missile weapons programs, gaining broader experience and visibility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program
  • Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices
  • Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals. Develops estimating and pricing methods
  • Evaluates and develops business cases
  • Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
  • Develops and maintains pricing models. Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1+ years of experience in cost estimation
  • Experience working on government proposals, to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to proactively apply problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new systems & tools, estimating techniques, and gain program knowledge in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with external customer and across multiple functions including Finance, Supplier Management, and technical disciplines
  • Demonstrate analytical or estimating capabilities
  • Experience with time management skills to meet tight schedules with first time quality

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $84,150 - $113,850
