The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Site Supplier Quality Engineer to join our AD Supplier Quality Team located in Saint Charles.

This position will be supporting production for Boeing Air Dominance team and must be skilled in data analytics, ability to review trends and create a recovery plan for supplier partners. Successful candidates will have strong experience working with Root Cause Corrective Action plans and have a background working with supplier

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.

  • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.

  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.

  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.

  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.

  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation

  • More than 3 year of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

  • More than 1 year of experience working in a Quality job role

  • Experience working with Supplier Quality Processes

  • Experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • More than 1 year of experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Experience with SQIS, QDSS and other Boeing process

  • Experience interfacing and presenting to senior and executive leadership

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

  • Experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment

  • Experience with regulatory requirements

  • Experience reviewing contracts, managing suppliers, and/or experience working with inventory

  • Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Summary pay range: USD 88.400 – 119,600
