Position Overview:

The Boeing Defense Systems Space, Intelligence, and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) organization in St. Charles, MO is seeking an experienced circuit/power supply design engineer to join the Direct Attack Avionics team to design new future products and sustain our successful existing product lines.

This team is critical to the success of all Direct Attack programs by designing, testing, validating, and maintaining circuit card level power supplies and electrical controllers used on Direct Attack weapons and supporting systems. As a Direct Attack electrical engineer, you will work as part of multi-discipline engineering teams on all phases of the product development lifecycle.Thus, the ability to work well in a group setting, as well as independently, is essential.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical circuit designs including analog, digital, and board level power electronics utilizing circuit design tools.

  • Perform circuit analysis to validate design performance, to assess supplier designs, and to conduct root cause investigations.

  • Test and validate products to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • Develop test requirements and test procedures for design verification and production acceptance testing.

  • Interface with suppliers to monitor performance and resolve technical questions.

  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

  • Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs

  • Document deployed processes and tools and collect metrics.

  • Work under general supervision


This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Saint Charles, MO location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years of experience with digital and/or analog circuit design

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree in electrical or computer engineering

  • Experience with military electronics.

  • Printed circuit card design experience.

  • Experience working with procurement, suppliers, and corresponding tools a plus

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter

  • Works well with cross-functional teams

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary Pay Range: $118,150 - $159,850
