Boeing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Manager Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Operations. This key leadership position will be responsible for managing several aspects of the MRO operations, with an emphasis on safety, quality, compliance which drives optimization and operational efficiency. The Senior Manager will lead a team of managers and operations support staff to deliver high-quality service while maintaining a strong focus on safety, cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Position is located in San Antonio, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of senior managers and associated organizations.

  • Influence the planning, scheduling, and execution of aircraft maintenance, repairs, and overhauls, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to delivery schedules.

  • Optimize our maintenance programs and procedures to improve stability, quality and flow.

  • Embed cutting-edge technologies to improve execution and aircraft readiness.

  • Manage and develop a cross functional team of managers, maintenance technicians, and operations support staff to ensure high performance, professional development, and adherence to company policies.

  • Manage cross functional teams to meet demand requirements and customer objectives

  • Assist site leader with budgets and policies for MRO activities, identify opportunities for cost reductions without compromising quality or safety.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with OEMs, vendors, and regulatory bodies to stay current on industry trends, technical advancements, and regulatory changes.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies and process improvements to enhance operational performance.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)

  • 10+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance, Maintenance concepts development and sustainment, repair, and overhaul environments

  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role

  • 5 years of project management experience

  • Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, problem-solving, and making independent decisions

  • 3+ years of experience with both Commercial and Defense platforms and customers

  • 1+ years interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Management, or related field

  • 3+ years as a senior manager

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and applicable aviation regulations

  • Experience with maintenance tracking systems, technical manuals, and other MRO-related software tools

  • Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and develop teams to achieve high levels of performance

  • Certification in aviation maintenance (A&P, EASA, or equivalent)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $153,000-$207,000
