Boeing Brazil is seeking a Latin America Sustainability Engagements, Policy, & Partnerships Leader, reporting to the Director of Sustainability for the Americas working out of the São José Dos Campos office.

The Senior Sustainability Leader will join the Boeing team and play a key role in advancing Boeing's sustainability initiatives in Brazil and Latin America. This role requires expertise in aviation sustainability, policy advocacy, and partnership development. The successful candidate will serve as the regional leader on sustainability and lead efforts in policy strategy, advocacy, customer engagement, and partnership development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Latin America sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with Boeing's overall sustainability goals and objectives.

  • Develop sustainability policy strategies to advocate for legislation, in partnership with Boeing Global (BG), that supports the scaling of critical technologies such as SAF, carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies, and book-and-claim mechanisms. 

  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and NGOs, to advance Boeing's sustainability agenda in the region.

  • Develop strategic marketing and messaging efforts to promote sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholder expectations.

  • Understand the SAF feedstock value chain and relevant technology pathways to bring SAF to market in Latin America, and create a pipeline of potential, local SAF and CDR projects where Boeing may be able to add value to ecosystem development.

  • Identify and evaluate emerging sustainability business risks and opportunities within Latin America, providing actionable insights to inform enterprise strategies.

  • Monitor and report on sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices, ensuring that Boeing remains at the forefront of industry developments.

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to research and benchmark sustainability trends, capturing stakeholder insights and intelligence on aviation sustainability topics including environmental, reporting, and governance matters.

  • Coordinates across functions, programs, and business units, across the enterprise including Sales, Marketing, Communications, BCA, BGS, Boeing Global (BG), Enterprise Technology (ET&T), Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T), and Global Enterprise Sustainability (GES).

  • Collaborate with commercial and government customers to support their environmental sustainability goals. 

This position is hybrid / Telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an environmental field, public policy, or related field

  • Senior level of experience in environmental studies, public policy, business development, or sustainability

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English and Spanish Languages. 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Senior level of experience in sustainability, policy advocacy, partnership development, strategy or sales, preferably within the aviation sector.

  • Experience advocating, shaping, and crafting policy or legislation that can support the commercial aviation’s commitment to becoming carbon net-zero by 2050

  • Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability principles and best practices, particularly in the context of Latin America.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.  

Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
