DevSecOps Developer (Virtual)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Virtual DevSecOps Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Mission Products and Services team, focused on serving as a trusted partner to our warfighter customers, providing exceptional software products and services to U.S. and foreign military defense organizations. In this role you will be a key player as part of the team modernizing and sustaining US Air Force systems supporting global transportation planning and passenger movements. The primary function of this position is to provide DevSecOps support for complex software applications. This position will be involved with all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) related to large applications and software programs.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, builds, tests and deploys standard automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
  • Provides information about and conducts investigation of basic technical and reliability challenges in the development and implementation process.
  • Builds and integrates basic software tools to enhance the product's reliability and scalability.
  • Sets up development/production environments and deployment of standard application devices.
  • Develops best practices/methodologies for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, monitoring and troubleshooting.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position is contingent upon award.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps pipelines and tools
  • Experience with version control tools such as git, Bitbucket, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in all aspects of designing and implementing system architecture, requirements, software and software testing
  • Experience with containers
  • Experience working in Agile environment
  • Experience with Testing Frameworks: xUnit, jUnit, Cyprus, Selenium
  • Experience with Software Development Patterns: microservice, REST, Mono Repo, Mono DB’s, SPA
  • Experience with logistics and/or command and control domains
  • Experience with system level verification and validation

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations.  Summary base pay range $81,000 - $90,000.
