The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our diverse E-7 Enterprise team in providing warehousing expertise for both our Australian and UK Customer. This position is essential in ensuring efficient receipt, dispatch, and inventory control activities. Successful applicants will have experience with material management, warehousing, basic freight booking, manual handling equipment operation, and, ideally, Oracle E-Business Suite applications. This role is located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing inventory management system transactions to support project activities as required;
  • Management and control of inventory accounts including serviceable, repairable, quarantine and disposal accounts in accordance with Boeing and Defence policy and procedures;
  • Gaining knowledge and experience in all aspects of receipt, storage, handling, packaging & shipping and issuing of inventory at the project warehouse facility;
  • Assisting multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supply support roles and functions;
  • Forklift license preferred, but not essential;
  • Desire to gain in-depth knowledge and experience with computerised inventory management systems and methodologies;
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, enabling open and effective communication among stakeholders;
  • Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite;
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 security clearance.
