Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Intern, working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba location.  This internship is 4 months in length, working on day shift, starting May 2025. 

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Intern who are interested in working side-by-side with experienced Lean Practitioner professionals. Our student Interns are given a unique experience as they learn the ropes and attain newfound competencies. Interns are exposed to on-the-job challenges as they work on hands-on tasks, undergo training, and have the opportunity to work on special projects. Position Responsibilities:

•    Gathers data and information
•    Work a lean project
•    Work with Lean Practitioners to assist with facilitation of lean events and workshops
•    Understand and apply the concept of Lean Principles
•    Apply Problem Solving skills in the work area
•    Perform audits as 5S or Tier Effectiveness
•    Desktop/Standards creation

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Winnipeg, MB.

Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

•    Must be enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited college
•    Must have knowledge of Microsoft office products Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
•    Must have strong analytical skills
•    Must be legally able to work in Canada
•    Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
•    Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

•    Prefer previous internship experience
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Access
•    Experience working within a manufacturing company
•    Prefer students registered in a technical program 

*Graduates are ineligible unless continuing in post graduate studies.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
