Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior HVAC Technician to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be responsible for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of numerous complex pieces of commercial facility equipment not limited to but including: Chillers, Pumps, Fan Coil Units, CRAC Units, VAV devices, Glycol systems, etc.
  • Candidate will interact with other facility building personnel regarding Air Handling units, Cooling towers, Pumps, etc.
  • Candidate should also have general knowledge of electrical systems as this position also requires the general oversight of other commercial electrical components inside the facility.
  • Lay out, construct, install and rebuild refrigeration and year-round air conditioning equipment for plant facilities
  • Perform work described in other maintenance classifications when incidental but necessary to the accomplishment of the assignment
  • Work from engineered drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, handbooks, etc., to accomplish required work
  • Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and/or schematics
  • Visualize three-dimensional shapes from two-dimensional views and understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes
  • Read and make control adjustments using such typical testing equipment as Freon leak tester, thermometer (wet and dry bulbs), sling psychrometer, monometer, velometer, hydrometer, humidistat, etc.
  • Install and adjust valve controls and perform electrical wiring and installation of special electronic controls used for regulating and controlling refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
  • Repair, maintain, trouble shoot and adjust all existing types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment (production and building)
  • Maintain necessary temperature and service records
  • Lock out/Tag out equipment and related systems, as required
  • Observe and evaluate system operation using remote building monitoring system and visually inspect equipment, power source, wiring, plumbing, electronic components and systems for defects or maintenance problems

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain Full Scope polygraph pre-start
  • 1+ years' experience working as an HVAC Technician
  • Capable of lifting 35lbs on a frequent basis
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Capable of passing fall protection training

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Full Scope polygraph
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Technician Certification
  • Industrial infrastructure experience
  • Experience with industrial water chillers
  • Experience working with a government and/or commercial customer

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+5 years' related work, Bachelor +2 years' related work, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $73,100 - $98,900
