Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Versatile Technologistto support our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri!

The successful candidate in this role will be highly flexible and able to adapt, working alongside other technical personnel at the Aerospace Composites Center facility in Hazelwood, Mo. There will be ongoing collaboration to enhance and modernize existing systems, and while many of the systems are standalone solutions, the successful candidates’ expertise will drive change and elevate these systems to meet established standards.

Specific requirements will include hardware and software integration, desktop and Linux/Windows server administration, networking, and information security required by the Department of Defense to ensure compliance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Understand the needs of the helpdesk and looks for way to improved processes and procedures
  • Supports Mobile Device Management (MDM) Air Watch.
  • Helps answer phones as part be part of the helpdesk
  • Manages New hire PC builds and replacements.
  • Manages PC refreshes
  • Supports licensing management server
  • Performs scripting duties
  • Manages timeclock system
  • Upgrades and improves existing systems, processes, and hardware
  • Supports Apple phone users
  • Supports SCCM Device imaging
  • Identifies computing requirements and confers on system needs.
  • Performs a multidiscipline range of technical systems and application activities.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains multiplatform systems hardware, software and components.
  • Develops, designs, integrates, and maintains all computer applications.
  • Prepares release planning for software and hardware across the system.
  • Ensures system conforms with architectural objectives.
  • Evaluates complex system's production readiness and supportability.
  • Performs the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations. Integrates security solutions into information systems.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems setup and configuration
  • 3+ years of experience with DHCP services
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Systems administration
  • 3+ years of experience managing Windows Active Directory

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range: $81,600 USD - $110,400 USD
