The Boeing Company's Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) organization is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) NX Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Development team in either Hazelwood, MO; Kent, WA; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA; or Seattle, WA

The NX Development team provides comprehensive software solutions for CAD, CAM and Computer Aided Engineering solutions. Responsibilities include development and integration for a variety of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and inhouse software applications supporting our engineering/manufacturing/product standard teams.

This position requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with peers and customers. They should be capable of collaborating well within a team while also being able to work independently. Additionally, a positive attitude and self-motivation are essential qualities, as the role demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, along with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with design, programming, and executing simple test plans

  • Implements, documents, and maintains basic computing applications

  • Writes and compiles basic code and constructs basic database objects based on documented design

  • Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality

  • Assists in gathering information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirement

  • Assists in engineering design best practices to better optimize our digital engineering toolset

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience writing, debugging and maintaining test software in C++, LabView or Visual Basic

  • 1+ years of experience in developing software solutions in the Java programming language

  • 1+ years of experience with software development in Agile methodology

  • Experience with the following tools: Siemens NX or similar 3D CAD tools, IBM Rational DOORS, No Magic Cameo

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active Secret clearance or higher

  • Experience in Siemens proprietary languages GRIP or Knowledge Fusion

  • Experience working with NX and Teamcenter and the configuration between both PLM systems

  • Experience with Siemens Simcenter 3D solution tools

  • Experience with design engineering in CAD tools

  • Experience leading a diverse Agile software development team

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Typically, 2 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Typically, 5 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Associate: $73,100 – $105,800

Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $93,500 – $135,700
