Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Project Management Specialist - Executive Fleet (Mid-Level and Senior) to join the Aircraft Build Integrated Product Team (IPT) in San Antonio, TX.

This role will effectively execute initiatives that have been and will be developed out of multiple Lean events by the Aircraft Build IPT. The Project Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of these initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally to develop execution plans, ensuring their successful completion

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Mid-Level and Senior Project Management Specialists.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of identified process improvements – Successful implementation means realization of improvements in the value stream, reduction of waste, increasing of value-added times of the mechanics on the airplane.
  • The Project Manager will utilize a collaborative and iterative approach to project management, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the execution of Kaizen initiatives. Agile methodologies may be employed to adapt to changing requirements and optimize project outcomes.
  • Manage project implementation with agile project management methods, battle rhythm, tools (e.g. ADO board), and team construct.
  • Work with Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supplier Management, and Integrated Planning & Scheduling (and other stakeholders) to conduct or facilitate regular reviews and evaluations to measure the effectiveness and impact of the implemented initiatives.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
  • 1+ year of experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience managing risks, cost performance and schedule performance
  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Active Security Clearance is preferred
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Typical Education/Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Level 3 - Min: $87,550 – Max: $118,450

Summary pay range Level 4 – Min: $107,950 – Max: $146,050
