Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain Engineering is seeking Mid-Level Project Engineers located in Seal Beach, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia and Mesa.

The selected candidates will support the BGS-C and BGS-G programs, which will integrate with spares aftermarket in the Commercial and Defense divisions. These positions will be the bridge between Supply Chain and Engineering, risk management and supplier support.  This team will proactively execute improvement initiatives generating a step change in performance for supplier engineering, quality, and delivery performance.  Responsibilities also include driving supply chain stability by resolving emergent supplier/supply chain issues impacting supply chain execution requiring cross enterprise integration. The project engineer will be responsible for coordination, development, and implementation of engineering projects. This will include support of the senior project engineers in proposal responsibilities of areas pertaining to work movement, analytics, supplier of concern and fleet team engagement.

Position Responsibilities – Focus areas (Work Placement, Fleet team engagement, Analytics, RCRs, CRCs, Supply Chain health)

  • Cost avoidance-provide engineering oversight/coordination/consistency for supplier evaluation metrics
  • Attend any coordination activities with Fleet Chief office, BGS Supplier Management, Supply Chain execution and BGS supplier quality team.
  • Knowledge of KPIs and metrics for supplier health as well as engineering backlog health and performance to plan
  • Coordinate work placement activities across RAAs
  • Support Senior project engineer in project execution to complete the work statement. Identifies performance metrics
  • Helps to define plans for risk mitigation and opportunity
  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Seal Beach, CA. Dallas, TX. Oklahoma City, OK. Philadelphia, PA. and Mesa, AZ.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 1+ years of engineering project planning or project management
  • Supply chain experience in aerospace, defense or other industrial industries
  • Experience interacting with business partners and customers
  • Experience with Boeing processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Willing to Travel Domestically and internationally as needed
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally (engineering, program management, modification team, and/or finance) and across multiple business units (BDS, BGS, BAO, etc.)

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $90,950 - $141,450
