What program and team are you a part of, and what kind of work are you doing?

As a member of the Finance Shared Services’ (FSS) Transactional Spares Estimating & Pricing team, my team is responsible for one of the largest customer bases in the Boeing enterprise.

How did you hear about our internships and why did you decide to apply?

I came across a lot of internships online, but nothing felt like the right fit. When I came across Boeing’s internship, I got excited! I’d heard great things from people who’ve worked at Boeing, so I decided to apply.

What excites you the most about Boeing’s mission and in what ways is your team making a real-world impact?

I love Boeing’s commitment to connect the world. As someone who has family all around the globe, it’s this commitment that enables me to visit my loved ones no matter how far away they may be. By providing support to 31 programs within Boeing Defense, Space & Security, my team actively contributes to making a tangible impact in the real world. Our efforts ensure the continuous operation of Boeing aircraft and contribute to global safety and security.

What has been your favorite experience at your internship so far?

My favorite experience so far has been working with my team! I’ve loved one-on-one tag-ups, mentoring and training sessions, and connecting with them throughout my day.

In what ways do you feel support from your team?

Even though I’m a virtual intern, I still feel connected with my team by tagging up with them throughout the day. I always feel comfortable reaching out to them for questions.

How has your internship shaped your educational and career goals?

It’s given me more clarity on what I want to do with my future. Since my internship with Boeing last summer, I’ve been able to shift my coursework to align with my current career goals.

What are your tips for accomplishing your best work?

Stay curious about your role. Since Boeing is such a large and complex company, finding out more about how your role fits within the larger organization can help you find more fulfillment and motivation.

What advice do you have for students who are interested in interning with us?

Use LinkedIn or another social media platform to connect with people in roles you’re interested in. If they’re willing, set up some time to learn more about them and their experiences with Boeing.
