What program and team are you a part of, and what kind of work are you doing?

I am a part of the Electrical Subsystems team and work on testing for a motor controller for the 787 Dreamliner.

How did you hear about Boeing’s internship opportunity?

Boeing hosted a networking event at my school. Talking to one of the recruiters made me aware of the opportunities Boeing had and encouraged me to apply.

What excites you the most about Boeing’s mission?

"Start with Engineering Excellence" is part of Boeing’s values and that statement really resonates with me and pushes me to do my best and think outside the box every day.

What has been your favorite experience so far?

Being able to go into the factory and see the planes that I am working on up close.

In what ways do you feel supported?

My manager and the rest of the team have been amazing and are always ready to help and answer my questions. My manager has helped me get in touch with other teams so that I can learn about their roles as well.

How has your internship shaped your educational and career goals?

My time at Boeing has allowed me to reaffirm my interest in Electrical Engineering concepts and also shown to me that what we learn in school is highly applicable in the real world.

What advice do you have for students who are interested in interning at Boeing?

I think it is important to have a well-balanced resume. Having experience on technical projects is just as important as non-technical projects. Be curious and don't be afraid of asking questions.
