BIETC is currently looking for Experienced Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineerto join Maintenance Engineering team to support Mechanical and Grounds Operations Systems in Bangalore. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial (BCA) business organization.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Maintenance Engineering Team to implement the Maintenance Tool design solutions.


Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Execute Mechanical design and analysis of a wide range of mechanical structures, Ground handling Equipment, systems and other aircraft /Aerospace components.
  • Investigates design-engineering changes to maintain engineering configuration and initiates action.
  • Applies knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to define and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes.
  • Integrates technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements; documents result in data sets, reports, specifications, and drawing construction implementing ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Participates with other members on project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION.
  • Experience in aircraft systems or structures design, development and production.
  • Experience in performing Conceptual Tool Designs.
  • Experience in aerospace material selection, Drawing creation/MBD creation, processes (finishing and heat treatment) specification.
  • Familiar with aerospace industry, military and government specifications, handbooks and standards. Able to read, understand, and interpret advanced engineering drawings and specifications
  • Expertise in computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Unigraphics-NX, etc.). Able to build and manipulate data sets.
  • Awareness of industry standards, aircraft requirements, design and certification.
  • Experience in tolerance stack up analysis, engineering or product quality investigation analyses.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
  • Must be very fluent in spoken and written English, and have excellent communication style.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Boeing Commercial Aircraft or equivalent products.
  • Experience with Ground Support Equipment Design or Tool Design.
  • Experience in assigning GD&T and ability to understand the development rationale for tool designs and change proposals.
  • Experience or familiarity with fabrication and machining.
  • Experience in use of PDM/PLM tools such as ENOVIA or Team Center.
  • Familiarity with Stress concepts related to Design.

Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor's with Minimum 10-12 years of experience/Master's degree with 8 or more years' experience in Mechanical / Tooling / Production Engineering.

This position offers relocation within India based on candidate eligibility.
