Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Program Manager to join our team located in Berkeley, MO.

This position will support the F-15 program with strong project management and leadership experience to support the highly visible EPAWSS (Eagle Passive-Active Warning Survivability System) Development program. This position is a challenging role that requires strong leadership, strong customer intimacy, and a strong understanding of the Boeing team. EPAWSS is a significant program to F-15 portfolio, protecting our Air Dominance program in highly contested areas.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports, including suppliers, partners, and government customers and representatives.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in building strong relationships with partners, military customers and suppliers
  • Experience working with and briefing USG customers on performance status;
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in engineering and/or organizational leadership/program management
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with proposals, contracts, and/or contract terms
  • Experience on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15)
  • Experience managing financial and schedule performance for a large-scale program or project
  • Experience briefing internal and external senior and executive leadership on program or project performance
  • Experience with Program Management on defense related programs

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work

experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: USD $157,250 – $212,750
