The Boeing Company is currently seeking Strength Analysis Engineers to join the Air Dominance Armament and Mechanisms Team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focusing on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design

  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.

  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

  • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

  • Works under general direction.

This role requires being involved in the integration of new and existing weapons onto the F-15 and F/A-18 Platforms, both for the United States and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Customers (Indonesia, Israel, Korea, Poland, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore).  Applicants must be comfortable performing this work scope as described.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Lead Strength Analysis Engineers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, physics, computer science or mathematics

  • 3+ years of experience using NASTRAN/PATRAN or similar FEM software to perform structural analysis on aircraft or space structures

  • Proficient in the use of technology, including Apple and Microsoft Devices and Software (i.e. Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience in gathering and analyzing data as well as putting the information in a presentation or report for others to review

  • 3+ year of experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge and experience with fixed wing military aircraft platforms

  • Experience with structural analysis software such as Abacus and StressCheck

  • Ability to understand and write engineering reports based on analysis results, test findings, and maintenance reports

  • Ability to provide training/mentoring to early career engineers

  • Experience working in a diverse Integrated Product Team (IPT)

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

Typical Education/Experience: 

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET

accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range (Level 3 Experienced): $95,200-$128,800

Summary pay range (Level 4 Lead): $115,600-$156,400
