The Boeing Company is looking for a Test Requirements & Analysis Engineer to join our team in either Berkeley, MO or Saint Charles, MO (St. Louis surrounding area).

Our team’s focus is on air vehicle data acquisition, processing, and visualization requirements for both real-time and post-test analyses. We support a wide variety of platforms and integrated product team (IPT) customers. These include fixed wing programs (e.g., T-7A, MQ-25, F-15, F-18), weapons programs (e.g., JDAM, SDB, MOP, Cruise Missiles), and Phantom Works Programs.

This role will require up to 10% travel.  With the evolution of program needs, there may be additional opportunities for more travel and domestic temporary assignments in the future.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead and Senior Level Test Requirements & Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other senior engineers at Boeing to advance efforts for the next generation of test vehicles. These include but are not limited to high-speed/high-volume recorders, onboard data processing, automating data review, automated and engineer guided data analytics, real-time model verification, and others

  • Lead teams of engineers to define and document instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning, including acquisition, processing, and analysis, to satisfy test objectives

  • Oversee junior engineers working with fellow test and IPT engineers to develop, update, maintain, and configuration control real-time displays required for real-time data analysis and mission control

  • Design, develop, and implement complex calculations in support of test objectives

  • Work with the flight test software team to ensure existing custom flight test processing software will meet requirements for test, and define requirements and test any new required software or algorithms

  • Ensure accuracy of aircraft data processing database catalogs for article configuration under test

  • Ensure that test data required for safety monitoring, real-time condition quality, and post-test analysis are operational, recorded, and/or telemetered

  • Train and mentor junior engineers in the conduct and execution of the test program, including real-time test coverage and data monitoring

  • Train and mentor junior engineers in submitting post-test job requests, reviewing data jobs for accuracy, and distribute final test data to IPTs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Experience in experimental data acquisition, instrumentation, and analysis

  • Willing to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active U.S. Secret or higher Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • Direct experience with data collection, processing, and analysis software and hardware technologies

  • Experience working on lab and or flight test data systems

Typical Education/Experience: 

Lead (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for lead level: $120,000 – $147,000

Summary pay range for senior level: $144,000 – $176,000
