The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Subcontracts Specialist to join our Joint Systems business division in Brisbane to support a range of current and emerging programs.

Responsibilities:

In supporting the Joint Systems division, you will be required to:

· Engage with internal stakeholders;

· Manage existing contracts and drive subcontractor collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;

· Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market for IT, network and communications and facilities type goods and services;

· Prepare, negotiate and execute contract documentation in accordance with delegations of authority;

· Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning; and

· Ensure compliance with supply chain management corporate governance policies and procedures.

Experience/Qualifications

The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies:

· Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in contracts management or procurement;

· Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business or commerce;

· Effective written and verbal communications skills;

· Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed across contracting and procurement and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and

· A willingness to work in a team environment.
