The Early Career Training Team is looking for a Customer Technical Training Specialist to join the team in Englewood, CO.  This position will join a team responsible for early career pilot training products.

Be a part of a team of subject matter experts, instructional system designers, and multimedia designers to develop and maintain early career flight training courseware.  This position is a subject matter expert and technical writer to assist with developing and maintaining content for airplane early career pilot training materials.

This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting.  The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite 3 days each week at the Englewood, CO location.

Travel:

Occasional travel (10%) may be required in support of the program and customer

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to create online modules and print publications for ab initio flight training products.

  • Collaborate with instructional systems designers and multimedia designers to create training materials as a technical writer.

  • Review and revise courseware, instructor materials, and supporting documentation for technical accuracy.

  • Analyze training requirements to provide technical content to support learning objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry resources.

  • Review comments and collaborate with the team to reconcile conflicting inputs.

  • Research, document, and provide technical information to support and update established processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing flight training courseware at a part 141 or part 61 flight school

  • Certified Flight Instructor Instrument in airplanes

  • 3+ years’ experience doing technical writing

  • 3+ years’ experience writing and editing pilot training materials

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation or education

  • Experience with InCopy or InDesign

  • Experience writing and developing online training modules

Shift:

This position is for the day shift.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Typical Experience/Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range:              102,850 – 139,150.
